Clearing Cache and Cookies from Mozilla Firefox browser

Deleting cache, cookies, and browsing history is essential if you are using the Mozilla Firefox browser. You should clear these cache and cookies regularly from your browser. It is because piled-up cache and cookies slow down the browser’s working and can even cause sudden crashing of the browser. Also, your browser cookies store all your browsing data that might be risky if hacked by hackers.

Clearing cookies for the current website

To clear cookies in Mozilla Firefox for the existing website that you are browsing, follow the steps below:

  1. On the left of the Mozilla’s address bar of the website that you are currently accessing, tap on the padlock option.
  2. Tap on the option of Clear Cookies and Site data.
  3. This process will clear the cookies from your current website.

Clearing cache for any other website

To clear cache in Mozilla Firefox for any other website, try the steps given below:

  1. Click on the gear icon tap Options.
  2. Click on the Privacy & Security tab and visit the Cookies and Site Data option.
  3. Tap the Manage Data button. A dialog box appears showing Manage Cookies and Site Data option.
  4. The Search Websites field will let you enter the name of the websites for which you wish to clear the cache and cookies.
  5. If you want to remove all cache, cookies, and data from the storage, tap on the option of Remove all shown.
  6. To remove a particular entry, click on the specific entry and tap on Remove Selected.
  7. Tap the Save Changes option to confirm the changes.
  8. The dialog box for Removing Cookies and Site Data will appear. Click on the OK button.
  9. Finally, exit the about: preferences page.

Removing all cookies, data, browsing history, and cache

In order to delete history in Mozilla Firefox for all browsers, you should go through the steps below:

  1. Click on the gear icon tap Options.

  1. Launch the Mozilla Firefox browser on your system.
  2. Click on the menu bar from the upper right-hand corner of your Firefox browser. The menu bar looks like three parallel lines.
  3. Next, select the “Privacy” option.
  4. Tap the option of “Clear your recent history” under the Privacy tab.
  5. Ensure that the “Cookies” option is marked.
  6. A time frame needs to be selected for which you wish to remove the data from your Firefox browser.
  7. If you wish to delete all the Firefox cookies, select “Everything” option from the drop-down.
  8. Double-check the selection once and click on the “Clear now” option.

Deleting cookies in Firefox on the Android device

  1. Click on the gear icon on your Firefox’s top-right corner.
  2. Go directly to the Mozilla’s Settings menu.
  3. Search for the option of “Privacy & security” under the Settings menu.
  4. Click on the “Clear private data” option.
  5. A list will be displayed on your screen showing all the options of what can be cleared from your Mozilla Firefox browser.
  6. Next, select the option of “Cookies & active logins” to remove the cookies from your Android device.
  7. Once your data has been selected, click on the “Clear Data” option.
